To create a culture that’s constantly driving towards a more sustainable world, we’ve developed three areas of focus around key international standards.

Environmental management

From the earliest days of the company we’ve been committed to environmental sustainability.

We’ve conducted thorough investigations and analysis to determine our environmental impact and identify areas for improvement.

From this we created goals, guidelines, policies and success metrics.

The team conducts internal and external audits annually, to ensure compliance, progress towards targets and maintain accountability.

We are certified to the ISO 14001 standard for environmental management, and constantly strive to decrease our carbon footprint.

Occupational health and safety

A healthy work environment makes us better at our job.

So we continuously evaluate employees’ well-being, the work environment and security risks to make work a better place to be.

To ensure a holistic model our employees are engaged, kept informed and held responsible at different levels.

Through cooperative management we create an environment that’s creative, inviting, and optimized for focused, fulfilling work.

 

Social responsibility

We believe that all organizations are responsible for creating and maintaining a fair and functional society.

And we act on this belief at all levels of business and in harmony with our financial, business and sustainability goals.

Transparency and cooperation is crucial to how we manage our social responsibility – including employees and stakeholders in our process.

Guided by ethics and transparency, we work with customers, employees and unions to be socially responsible at all levels of business.

Lumera fulfills the recommendations stated in ISO 26000 for social responsibility and the Swedish specification for the self-declaration SUS/TS 2:2021.

Lumera supports the UN Global Compact

Lumera is committed to the UN Global Compact, a voluntary initiative based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to take steps to support UN goals.

We are committed to incorporating its principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption, and integrating the perspectives of sustainability – society, ecology and economy -into our strategy and corporate culture. We will involve our most important stakeholders; employees, customers, partners and owners, and have demands on sustainable development throughout the whole supply chain. Furthermore, we will annually communicate our goals and progress.

By supporting the UN Global Compact, we believe that we can act as a key enabler for a more sustainable future for our society and our environment. Lumera has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative since 2020.
